We Serve!

What Does It Mean to Be a Lion?
It means being a part of a network of over 1.35 million volunteers in 206 countries. It means valuing a shared belief in the strength of unity across borders and the power of service in our local and international communities.
Why Should You Become a Lion?
To expand your horizons both personally and professionally through service to your community. To forge relationships with new friends, passionate leaders, and spirited volunteers. And most importantly, to walk away from these experiences knowing that you have made a difference.
What Has the Valley Hi Lions Club Accomplished?
In partnership with the Iriga Bicol Association of America, we organized Medical Mission 2007, a large-scale, highly recognized international relief mission for which we received a humanitarian award. We were one of the few Lions clubs to receive a generous LCIF grant of $30,000 for this special undertaking.

Hundreds of medical professionals and other volunteers joined us in offering medical screenings, surgeries, and health education for over 6,000 locals in Iriga City and other areas of the Philippines.
Volunteers, including local youth, aided us in an organized reforestation effort to restore lands lost by recent flooding.
